Cisco Live 2017 – Prepare Like A Pro!

There’s only a couple of weeks remaining before Cisco Live 2017 #CLUS, once again hosted in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada!  Here are some things to know before you go!

Dates: June 25th – 29 2017 Location: Mandalay Bay Convention Center Programs: IT Management Program, Cisco Empowered Women’s Network Program, Partner Days, DevNet, World of Solutions, Keynotes, Conference Sessions, Attendee Meals and Main Registration MGM Grand.  Programs:  Testing Center, Labs & Technical Seminars, Attendee Meals and Satellite Registration

Cisco has a lot of new things in store for this year, and it promises to be one of the most exciting and anticipated tech conference events in years.  Having been to this event for several years running, we have never been more pumped to go.  IoT and App/Dev/SDN, as well as Social Media will be very prominent this year, even more so than past years.  The DevNet Zone is going to have more options, more seats, and better visibility for folks who just want to watch the magic over the shoulders.  Whisper sessions will be back, more and better access to expert engineers, and the Customer Connection Program will have several more options.  Tech Field Day, Cisco DNA Deep Dive, the opportunities to get your geek on are plentiful.

The World of Solutions is always one of my favorite places to talk to all of the key folks for the products that I use every day with my clients.  It’s also the best place to find out about the latest offerings, see live demos, talk to the engineers and experts, and of course to get free swag.  For those newbies going, I recommend taking a larger bag with empty space to store all the free giveaways.  A lot of the give-aways make for great gifts for the kids upon your return.

This year’s keynote is featuring Bryan Cranston.  While it will be hard to top Kevin Spacey (probably the best keynote ever!), we are sure Mr. Cranston will be awesome!

The Breakout sessions are so valuable.  A lot of folks worry about being able to make all of the ones that they want, simply because there are not enough hours in the day and there are so many choices, you simply have to make some sacrifices.  But not to worry, because with 365 access you can always view them on-demand online.  This convenience is hard to beat, and truly helps drive the value of the conference costs.

This year’s Customer Appreciation Event will feature Bruno Mars!

If you’re a Cisco Champion #CiscoChampion, be sure to take part in all of the Social Media opportunities, but even if you’re not a Champion, you can participate in several of the Social Media contests, with daily prizes from the Cisco Store.  You can also be a “Remote Attendee” and participate, so Cisco is being super inclusive.  You can find out details of the Social Media Hub and Contest at this link here.   You can even win a full trip to Cisco Live 2018, so don’t miss out!  The link also contains information on how to participate in daily contest for prizes, pictures with Bruno Mars and Bryan Cranston, Blogger contests and more!

If you’re a Byteworks’ customer and you plan to be at Cisco Live, be sure to reach out to us and let us know!  We will have several of our best, industry-leading engineers there again this year, and we’d love to help you with your schedules or answer any technology questions you may have, and most importantly, we’d love to see you and say hello!  We are strong believers in attending Cisco Live to further the technology careers of our staff and the opportunity to network with our industry colleagues and clients is hard to beat.  We look forward to seeing you there again this year!
